In Search of Sunrise- ch.2 p.5Confused, Shanti looked from Gamin, to Celebrine, to Serendra, and back to Gamin again. Worried for the sake of her and Celebrine's mission, she ran back to the camp. When she arrived, everyone was already getting ready for their own missions and upcoming battles. She ran through the camp, hoping to find someone who wouldn't catch on to Celebrine's cover-up story. Why was Serendra here, of all places, anyway? Suddenly Shanti ran headlong into somebody. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you-" As she was apologizing, she recognized the man. "Ah! Za- I mean, Drache, sir! I'm terribly sorry!" The man dusted off his tunic. "IIn Search of Sunrise- ch.2 p.5


In Search of Sunrise- ch.2 p.4Celebrine whipped around at the sound of Gamin's voice. She stepped away from Serendra, but she regretted that action immediately. Gamin shot past her and leapt onto Serendra's back. He pulled her head back by the hair and brought one of his swords not even an inch from the tender skin of her neck. Serendra staggered under Gamin's weight as he did all this in one fluid movement. "What are you doing conversing with the enemy?!" Gamin demanded. Forcing herself to stay calm, Celebrine sternly explained, "Gamin, you have it all wrong. I found this creature resting here and I was simply asking what it was doing on our territory." In Search of Sunrise- ch.2 p.3Gamin woke up to find that Celebrine had already left the tent. Since Shanti was still asleep he figured Celebrine must have gotten up early to start training. Gamin stepped over his things and woke Shanti up. "Emontae is already out," he said when Shanti looked around for her. Shanti nodded and Gamin left the tent, entering the cold, crisp air. He inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of pine and ignoring the urge to sneeze when the inside of his nose froze. When he exhaled white clouds puffed out from his mouth. "Winter is almost here," Shikomi growled as he trotted up to Gamin. "Yes," Gamin agreed. "This would be the sixthIn Search of Sunrise- ch.2 p.3
